Dr. Courtney Edgar grew up in North Carolina and did her medical training in Cincinnati. Her and her family moved to Lexington in 2022. She is married and has 2 daughters; one is a dancer, and the other is a swimmer. She enjoys running, decorating cakes, going to her kids’ activities, and reading books. Dr. Edgar’s background is practicing hospital medicine, both caring for adults and children. She is excited to be joining the aesthetics community and serving as the Medical Director of The Spa at Wellington.
Dr. Karla Stephen graduated from the University of KY College of Medicine and has been practicing medical aesthetics since 2008. Dr. Stephen's passion is to help others feel more confident and she takes pride in achieving a natural yet youthful result.
Mariah received her BSN degree from the University of Kentucky in 2018 and her Family Nurse Practitioner degree from Northern Kentucky University in 2022. Her nursing background includes labor and delivery, OB/GYN, and home health care.

Hi! I’m Ashley Slone, a certified medical assistant and certified phlebotomy technician with 8 years of experience in the healthcare field. Over the years I have developed a deep admiration for everything aesthetic, and I am excited to see where this new adventure will lead me. When I’m not working, I am a Lexington firefighter’s wife, and I spend my free time cherishing my role as a mother to our sweet 12-year-old son and our two precious daughters, ages 8 and 5. I look forward to bringing my enthusiasm for beauty and care to the spa, helping clients feel their best!
Peggy Fannin graduated from aesthetic school in Daytona Beach, FL . Peggy provides the best facial experience and her clients absolutely adore her. Peggy has been with the spa since 2018. In addition to her amazing facials, Peggy can create a custom skin care plan for your needs.
Kara is a Licensed Esthetician, and joined the Center in 2021. Kara received her Esthetician license from Bluegrass Community and Technical College. She has been in the industry for 8 years.
Kara loves performing all treatments, but says her personal favorite service is Dermaplaning!
With several years of experience in office management, I currently serve as the Office Manager at The Spa at Wellington, where I oversee daily operations and ensure a smooth experience for both staff and clients. My career began as a Registered Medical Assistant, which allowed me to develop a strong attention to detail and a passion for helping others. I hold an Associate’s degree from Morehead State University, and I’m always looking for ways to grow and improve in both my professional and personal life.
Outside of work, I’m a proud dog lover with four furry companions who bring endless joy to my life. I enjoy spending quality time with my husband and our six wonderful children, finding balance and happiness in family moments.
With over a decade of experience in the aesthetics industry, Dakota has honed her skills in a variety of roles, from service provider to sales and marketing. Currently, she thrives in a dual role at the spa, where she supports both guest relations and marketing initiatives to ensure a seamless experience for clients.
Before joining the spa team, Dakota made her mark as a lash artist, providing personalized, high-quality services. Her passion for beauty and wellness extends beyond her professional life—when she’s not working, you can find Dakota chasing after her toddler, practicing yoga, baking, or tending to her garden.
Her extensive experience in the aesthetics field, combined with her love for creativity and customer care, makes Dakota a trusted professional dedicated to helping others look and feel their best.
